EKOPAK NEWSLETTER – SECOND QUARTER OF 2025
This quarter was marked by numerous important events, new partnerships, international promotion, infrastructure investments, educational initiatives, and a strong push for packaging waste recycling across local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
International Promotion of Ekopak's Results
Our 2024 results were recognized at the international level. The umbrella organization EXPRA (Extended Producer Responsibility Alliance) featured Ekopak in the latest edition of its newsletter. The article published on their official website highlighted key figures from Ekopak’s 2024 Annual Report, reaffirming our commitment to developing a not-for-profit extended producer responsibility system. We thank our dear colleagues and friends from EXPRA. As a proud member of this prestigious organization Ekopak will continue to apply best European practices in the system development.
Interview for AmCham BiH
The beginning of the second quarter was marked by an interview with Director of Ekopak, Amela Hrbat, for the newsletter of the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH (AmCham BiH). The interview presented the company’s business principles, achievements, and plans for further development of the packaging waste recycling system. We thank to management of AmCham for following our work.
Infrastructure Investments
Ekopak funded the procurement of a new baling press machine for packaging waste for PUC Rad Ključ, continuing a successful partnership. The results are already visible through increased amounts of packaging waste delivered to the recycling system, contributing to a reduction of municipal waste at the local landfill.
Collaboration with PUC Komrad Bihać
Ekopak Director Amela Hrbat hosted the newly appointed Director of PUC Komrad Bihać, Mr. Edin Moranjkić. The meeting emphasized the importance of developing primary waste sorting at the source, a strategic priority for both sides – Ekopak and Komrad.
