We are proud to announce that Ekopak’s results for 2024 have been recognized internationally: EXPRA, the European umbrella organization that brings together non-profit packaging waste system operators from around the world, has featured Ekopak in its latest Newsletter edition!

The article published on EXPRA’s official website highlights our key achievements from the 2024 Annual Report, including:

22,331 tons of packaging waste sent for recycling,

Recycling targets exceeded by a total of 4%, including specific targets for glass, paper, plastic, metal, wood, and hazardous packaging waste,

Contributions to infrastructure development and public education, particularly through engagement with schools and local communities.

This recognition confirms that Ekopak’s efforts are valued not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also at the European level, among partners and experts in packaging and packaging waste management, and circular economy development.

Since 2015, Ekopak has been a proud member of EXPRA (Extended Producer Responsibility Alliance), based in Brussels, which brings together non-profit, transparent, and producer-responsible packaging waste management systems from over 30 countries.

We thank EXPRA for their support and for promoting our achievements. This international visibility serves as an additional motivation for us to continue strengthening the packaging waste recycling system in Bosnia and Herzegovina and advancing the circular economy.
