Ekopak took part in the Zenica Waste Forum, an event dedicated to modern waste-management practices and environmental protection.

During the forum, representatives of Ekopak delivered a presentation on the packaging-waste recycling system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting the achievements Ekopak has realized as the licensed PRO in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Participants were shown key figures on the quantities of waste recycled, infrastructure development, educational campaigns, and cooperation with local communities.

Ekopak will continue to participate events of this kind to foster knowledge exchange, advance best practices, and strengthen awareness of the importance of packaging-waste recycling.

The Zenica Waste Forum was organized by the International Academy for Sustainable Development “ICOR,” in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the competent organizations from Republika Srpska and interested business entities. It was held on 12–13 June at Hotel Zenica in Zenica.

Waste is one of the world’s greatest environmental-management challenges, and Bosnia and Herzegovina is no exception. The EU is working to improve systems for managing all waste streams, and BiH has committed to adopting the EU acquis in this area.
