World Environment Day - 1600 students from Velika Kladuša and 900 students from Olovo in Ekopaks educational project

5.6.2015 - The fifth of June, World Environment Day, Ekopak marked in cooperation with municipalities Olovo, Velika Kladuša and Kladanj.

Having successfully implemented educational project "Smile planet is in your hands" in all primary and secondary schools in municipalities of Olovo and Velika Kladuša, Ekopak have on 5th June, organized an award ceremony for students who have demonstrated the best knowledge in the quiz .

After the award ceremony in Olovo, the Bosnian National Theatre in Zenica performed the play "Recycling is No Hassle". The same team has visited Kladanj during the day and through theater skills educated children on proper disposal and recycling of packaging waste. In Kladanj the educational play was performed in front of around 150 students and Ekopak provided transportation for students from the district schools.

The educational project in Olovo was attended by around 900 students from the elementary school "Olovo", elementary school "Hasan Kikić", Mixed Secondary School "Musa Ćazim Ćatić" and their district schools. In Velika Kladuša the project was attended by about 1600 students from all pre-schools, primary and secondary schools in the municipality.

The goal of an educational project is to teach children how to properly dispose packaging waste generated by daily use of various products and also about the importance of recycling.

Municipalitys Kladanj and Olovo are included in Ekopaks Green Dot system in which the consumers have the opportunity to selectively dispose packaging waste and their utilities implement activities of selective collection of packaging waste and preparation for recycling in cooperation with Ekopak.
