Ekopak and CETAP Hold Educational Workshop at Kiseljak 1 Bilalovac Primary School
Sarajevo, 20 October 2026 - An educational workshop on the proper separation and recycling of packaging waste was held at Kiseljak 1 Bilalovac Primary School as part of the new cycle of the “The Smile of the Planet Is in Your Hands” project, implemented by Ekopak in cooperation with the CETAP project.
During the workshop, pupils were introduced to the basic concepts related to packaging and packaging waste, different types of materials, and the proper ways to separate and dispose of them. Particular attention was given to helping pupils understand why it is important to separate packaging waste from municipal waste and place it in designated collection points so that it can be directed to recycling.
The workshop was also attended by Ivan Boro, representative of JP Vodovod i kanalizacija Kiseljak, a long-standing partner of Ekopak involved in the separate packaging waste collection system.
The pupils further developed their knowledge through practical and educational activities adapted to their age.
For Ekopak, educating children is an important part of the development of the separate packaging waste collection and recycling system. Alongside the development of the necessary infrastructure and cooperation with local communities and partners, continuous education helps make proper packaging waste separation part of the everyday habits of new generations.
