Jusuf Čavkunović, mayor of the Kladanj Municipality, with his associates and Amela Hrbat, general manager of Ekopak, on Wednesday, December 11, held a meeting where initiation of the project “Separate Packaging Waste Collection from the Municipal Solid Waste in the Kladanj Municipality“ was discussed.

The project, which implies establishment of the Eco islands in Kladanj and Stupari as well as collecting of the packaging waste with eco garbage bags, will be implemented jointly by the Kladanj Municipality, Ekopak and Public Utility Service Komunalac Kladanj.

Within the project it is planned to have educational workshops held for students of primary schools, a high school and a kindergarten in the Kladanj Municipality. The primary objective is to offer quality information about the consequences of improper waste management and the benefits of the separate packaging waste collecting and recycling to all students.

Based on the presented and discussed details on the meeting, the Kladanj Municipality will deliver project realization proposal to Ekopak according to which the conditions and phases of its implementation will be defined.
