Sarajevo, 12 August 2026 – Fifteen cafés, restaurants, and pubs from central Sarajevo have joined the "Be the Star of Your Own Movie – Recycle!" challenge, jointly organized by Ekopak and KJKP RAD with the aim of collecting as much glass packaging as possible during the Sarajevo Film Festival and directing it to recycling.

The following venues are participating in the challenge: City Lounge, Samer lounge, Tesla, Barometar, Central Caffe, ORT, City Pub, El Palt, Down Town Caffe Bar, Opera, Mr.Smith Caffee, Kafić MEEting point, Vanila, Festival eating point, Hotel Europa, Disko klub Sloga, Club Mash Sarajevo, Muvekita 6, Festivalska bašta, Apetit, Burger Bar Vanni, Raja, Open Air cinema, Zlatna Ribica, Blind Tiger, Kafić Bulldog, Park Jelena Vitas, Tratoria Baccone, Kafić Dekor, Trg Alija Izetbegović,

KJKP RAD and Ekopak will ensure that all collected glass packaging is directed to recycling.

We invite the citizens of Sarajevo and festival visitors to support the cafés, restaurants, and pubs participating in the "Be the Star of Your Own Movie – Recycle!" challenge during the festival and contribute to the proper separation of glass packaging through their own actions.

Together, we can demonstrate that recycling begins with small steps but delivers significant benefits for the entire community.
