Ekopak hosted a teacher and students of Class VII1 from Primary School Grbavica I
Students Ahmed Mehmedbašić, Ada Krupalija, Alija Ali Altoku and Mija Bećirhodžić, together with their civic education teacher Elma Karišik, paid a short visit to Ekopak.
During the visit, the students presented their initiative aimed at raising environmental awareness among their peers and improving environmental education, which they are implementing as part of the project “I, the Citizen.” Through this project, they seek to encourage more practical and hands-on environmental learning in schools.
Their ideas include organizing educational workshops for students, installing waste separation bins in schools, arranging visits to recycling facilities, as well as launching a broader initiative to introduce systematic environmental education and activities such as tree planting.
During the visit, the importance of a practical approach to education was emphasized, as hands-on activities help students develop awareness and responsible habits that they can apply in their everyday lives.
Ekopak expressed its appreciation for the visit and confirmed its support for these dedicated students and their teacher in the implementation of their ideas, recognizing young people as drivers of positive change and an essential part of building a sustainable packaging waste management system.
