Ekopak, as the first licensed and leading operator of packaging and packaging waste management system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, hosted a meeting of system operators with the Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism, Nasiha Pozder, and her Assistant, Mirsad Ibromović.

The meeting was attended by Ekopak Director Amela Hrbat, Ekoživot Director Jasmin Osmanović, ZEOS Executive Director Elma Babić Džihanić, Kim Tek Eko Director Emina Kartal, and Assistant Director Erkin Medžedović.

During the meeting, discussions focused on investments of the system operators in development of systems for the collection and recycling of packaging waste, as well as electrical and electronic waste, with particular emphasis on support for local communities and their public utility companies.

Special emphasis was placed on strengthening cooperation between competent institutions and system operators, with the aim of achieving better results and more efficient functioning of the waste management system in practice.

The meeting confirmed the importance of regular communication and coordination among all relevant stakeholders in the development of a sustainable system for managing packaging waste, as well as electrical and electronic waste, in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
