Komunalno Mostar joined the Ekopak system at the end of last year, when Ekopak provided the company with a press-machine for preparing paper and plastic for recycling. This created the initial conditions for establishing a system of selective waste collection in Mostar.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the modalities of establishing a system for separating packaging waste at the source in the City of Mostar, preparation for recycling, and ways in which Ekopak can further support the efforts of management of Komunalno. The joint goal is to reduce the amount of municipal waste disposed of at the Uborak landfill and to strengthen a sustainable packaging waste management system.

The visit once again confirmed the importance of partnership between Ekopak and public utility companies as a key segment in the development of an efficient and sustainable system of packaging waste recycling.
