Last weekend, Jahorina hosted the Vučko Regional Conference in the period from July 1 to 3. The organizers of this eminent conference were the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung BiH (FES) and the Forum of Left Initiatives (FLI), and this year's theme was "From Throwaway to Circular Economy: Waste Management".

Ekopak d.o.o. as the first and leading operator of the packaging waste management system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the activists from the Western Balkan region, politicians and young people, was one of the conference participants.

On the second day of the conference, Ekopak d.o.o. Sarajevo presented its work at the "World Caffe: Waste Management Practices" workshop. Boris Terzić addressed the attendees, introducing them to the packaging and packaging waste management system in FBiH. The results and decade-long work system of Ekopak were presented, as well as the development of infrastructure for separate waste collection, and implemented education aimed to young generations on waste sorting and recycling.

"It is a great pleasure and honor to be part of an event like the Vučko Regional Conference. This was a great opportunity for Ekopak, in the presence of young people, activists and politicians, to tell its story, its development path and the goals we strive for. With conferences like these, we encourage young people and the community to work towards the same goals, which is the adequate management of packaging waste, which Ekopak is providing in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as the first and leading operator. Through discussion and exchange of opinions, we found common answers and conclusions for one of the most important problems of our community, region and world." said the Management of Ekopak.
