As part of the celebration of "Earth Day", Ekopak held a creative and educational workshop called "Month of the Ekopak Caravan" at the Elementary School "Aleksa Šantić" from Sarajevo.

On that occasion, fifth grade students learned in a creative way about the importance of packaging waste recycling, recycling system in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the preservation of our environment.

Last year Ekopak introduced "Aleksa Šantić" Elementary School into recycling system, set up containers for the disposal of packaging waste and renovated eco-house where classes are held to educate children about environmental protection.

Children had the opportunity It this renovated eco-house, with the mentorship of Ekopak, to make and paint their pots from plastic bottles and then plant flowers in them that they will continue to nurture.

An Eco-quiz was also held, with prior education on recycling and environmental protection, where students exchanged their opinions, asked questions and learned together through an interactive game. Members of the Eco-quiz winning team received a unique social game "Recycling is not a hassle" and all students who participated in the Ekopak workshop were given a picture book "Recycling is not a hassle".

"Ekopak is working hard on the inclusion of the youngest members of B&H society and local communities in conservation and the environment, as well as participation in the process of recycling packaging waste. We used today's workshop to teach children how useful and beautiful things can be made from discarded packaging waste. In this case, we made beautiful pots out of plastic bottles in which we planted flowers. Each student has the task of caring for and nurturing their flower in the future. In this way, we wanted to bring them closer to the importance of their role in protecting the environment, which is indispensable, as well as the very sense of responsibility, which children always gladly and enthusiastically accept. Earth Day is celebrated in the most beautiful way - with little people on whose education and behavior the planet Earth remains. That is why Ekopak puts an imperative on its role of teacher and example in this process " it was noted by Ekopak.
