This weekend, in Sarajevo, the first „Kids Kinđurijada“ masquerade for primary school children took place.

This unique costumed party had offered an opportunity for primary school children in Sarajevo to participate in different educational and entertaining workshops: drawing, costume making, DJ-ing and radio workshop.

Ekopak gladly supported the first „Kids Kinđurijada“, and at the organized mask and costume making workshops, all the young participants had the chance to see how packaging waste can be used creatively. Eco-activists from the NGO „Ekotim“ and professional fashion and product designers, in the Ekopak corner, helped the youngest visitors to design and create interesting masks and costumes from the packaging of Ekopak's clients, and, for the most creative authors, Ekopak prepared interesting prizes.

As a part of the activities on establishing the system of packaging waste collecting and recycling in the Federation of BiH, Ekopak supports projects that are targeted at promoting recycling and recovery of packaging waste as a new approach to waste, emphasizing that the packaging, after the product had been used, should not be disposed, but directed towards the process of recycling and reusing, hence giving it a new value.

During the event 50 kg of paper and cardboard and 25 kg of PET packaging waste is collected and handed over to the recycling.
