Sarajevo, 3 September 2026 - The large quantities of glass packaging collected every day by PUC Komrad Bihać demonstrate that Bihać is one of the local communities where the separate collection of glass packaging is delivering excellent results.

Thanks to the dedicated work of PUC Komrad and a well-developed separate collection network, significant quantities of glass packaging are separated from municipal waste and directed to recycling instead of ending up in landfill.

Today, JKP Komrad is one of the leading packaging waste collectors within the Ekopak system. The results achieved highlight the importance of continuous commitment, well-developed municipal infrastructure, and cooperation with citizens in the development of an efficient recycling system.

Examples such as this demonstrate that meaningful progress in the development of packaging waste recycling and the reduction of waste sent to landfills can be achieved through the joint efforts of the system operator, public utility companies, and citizens.
