Sarajevo, 21 August 2026 - A working meeting was held on 21 August 2026 at the premises of KJKP RAD as part of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the German Waste Management Association ZAH from the Hildesheim district.

In addition to representatives of KJKP RAD, the meeting was attended by representatives of the system operators Ekopak and ZEOS eko-sistem.

The meeting focused on the development of the waste management system, with particular emphasis on the development of waste sorting systems, the application of modern technologies, and increasing the quantities of waste directed to recycling.

During the meeting, participants exchanged experiences and presented examples of good practice from Germany, while also discussing opportunities to apply these solutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Particular attention was given to the development of a more efficient separate waste collection system and strengthening cooperation between public utility companies and system operators.

Ekopak continues to actively participate in initiatives that contribute to the development of the packaging waste recycling system and the development of municipal infrastructure in local communities, recognising that the exchange of knowledge and international cooperation are essential steps towards building a sustainable and efficient waste management system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
