Separate Packaging Waste Collection Sets Delivered to Representatives of OŠ “Grbavica I”
Four sets of bins for the separate collection of paper and plastic packaging waste have been installed at OŠ “Grbavica I” in Sarajevo, creating the conditions for the practical application of the knowledge students acquired through Ekopak’s educational activities on packaging waste recycling.
This activity is a continuation of a partnership that began at the initiative of the students of class VII-1 and their teacher, Elma Karišik, who launched activities aimed at improving environmental practices within the school through the project “I, the Citizen”.
Following their visit to Ekopak and participation in an educational workshop on the importance of packaging waste recycling, the students were provided with the necessary infrastructure that will enable them to separate paper and plastic packaging waste and direct it into the recycling process.
We are particularly pleased that the initiative to advance the development of the recycling system came directly from the students, who demonstrated that their ideas and engagement can drive positive change within the school and the local community.
Ekopak continues to support educational institutions that actively work on educating children and developing habits related to the proper disposal and recycling of packaging waste.
