All Schools fom the City of Mostar to Join Packaging Waste Recycling System Soon
Yesterday, a meeting was held in Mostar between the Director of the Public Utility Company Komunalno Mostar, Rašid Hadžović, and the Director of Ekopak, Amela Hrbat, with principals of all primary and secondary schools in the City of Mostar.
In addition to regular topics related to the collection and management of municipal waste, a special focus of the meeting was on including Mostar schools in the recycling system. The aim of this initiative is to reduce the amount of municipal waste generated in schools and, consequently, to reduce the costs schools incur for waste collection. On this occasion, schools were also provided with Ekopak’s educational calendars as additional support in raising awareness about proper separation of packaging waste.
Ekopak will act as a partner in this process, particularly in the collection of packaging waste and in educating students about the importance of recycling.
Such meetings represent an important step toward a more organized waste management system in educational institutions and contribute to the development of sustainable practices within the local community.
