Visit by Minister of Construction, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protectio of Una-Sana Canton

On Wednesday, 10 October 2012, Mrs. Sinha Kurbegović, Minister of Construction, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection of Una-Sana Canton visited Ekopak premises and got introduced with present activities of Ekopak and plans for 2012.

During their conversation, Mrs. Amela Hrbat, General Manager of Ekopak, and Minister Kurbegović realized that only both-way communication and partnership between the economy and relevant ministries can give good results in every business segment, including establishment of packaging waste management system.

It has been agreed that the Ministry organizes a meeting with all economic subjects, legal obligors, from Una-Sana Canton, that would have the goal of presenting legal responsibilities defined by the Ordinance and the way of fulfilling these responsibilities through Ekopak, first authorized system operator of packaging waste management in B&H.

Additionally, possible cooperation between the Ministry and Ekopak has been discussed, related to joing pilot project of separate waste collection on the teritorry of Una-Sana Canton.
