Forty special glass containers delivered to Municipality of Konjic

The Municipality of Konjic, one of the four local communities in BiH participating in the project "Management of glass packaging in the Western Balkans", was delivered 40 special containers (bells) for glass recycling.

The containers were delivered as part of the regional project "Management of glass packaging in the Western Balkans", which is being implemented in BiH, Serbia and Northern Macedonia. Thus, in our country, in addition to Konjic, the project is being implemented in the municipalities of Novi Travnik, Bihać and Ilidža, where a total of 190 special glass containers will be installed.
The goal of the project is to increase the amount of collected glass packaging in the region by 20%, as well as to reach a sustainable model of collection and recycling of glass packaging that would gradually expand to other municipalities in BiH in the coming years. In addition to this technical part, an appropriate campaign was developed aimed at raising citizens' awareness of the importance of recycling this packaging material.

The project in BiH is implemented by Ekopak, GIZ and REDAH.
