The topic of the meeting was the adoption of new regulations on the packaging waste management, as foreseen by the amendments to the Law on Waste Management from the end of 2017.

The content of the regulations which are prepared by working group of the ministry, is discussed on the meeting. Minister Dapo explained that: "... in accordance with the directives and practices of the European Union, the adoption of these regulations aims to establish a clear and precise criteria for calculation and payment of fees for products that after use become packaging, electrical and electronic waste, by defining the way of allocation and reinvestment of collected fees, and reporting on the quantity and type of manufactured or imported products, and the reporting methods and deadlines.
