26 March 2015 in front of the municipal building Vogosca is organized handover ceremony of infrastructure for the establishment of seven eco-island in which citizens of this Sarajevo municipality can selectively dispose packaging waste, which will be submitted for recycling. Ceremonial handover was attended by Deputy Mayor of Vogosca, representatives of Ekopak and authorized collectors Aida Commerce.

Ekopak provided wastebins for the establishment of seven eco-island, co-financed the construction and equipping of the area, and will in the future carry out educational and promotional activities aimed at raising awareness on proper disposal and recycling of packaging waste. Eco islands that are set will have a special light source of solar energy, which is the first such example in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"We are extremely pleased that the Ekopak in us saw a serious partner that can go in the realization of this important project for the first time in the Sarajevo Canton. And the importance of this project for the protection of the environment in the local community and raise environmental awareness of our citizens do not need especially not speak. After implementation of this project we plan we already have and the establishment of a recycling yard at the site of new industrial zone where all the collected waste will be properly prepared for recycling, "says Mayor Edin Smajic.
