Sarajevo,  December 17th 2014, Ekopak - first licensed packaging and packaging waste recovery organisation in B&H, organized media briefing and presented the contest for journalistic contribution for rising the public awareness about separate packaging waste disposal and promoting the importance of establishment of the Green Dot system in B&H.

The competition is open to all interested journalists who need to send their copyright work, on the subject „The Establishment of the Green Dot System in B&H“, published from December 20th 2014 untill  March 20th 2015. 

Ekopak - the nonprofit organization, which is authorized to be the first operator of the System by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism with a role to establish transparent, efficient, sustainable and long-term system for recycling and reuse of packaging waste, organizes this journalistic competition based on the challenges of the establishment of the Green Dot system in B&H in order to affirm journalistic reporting on subjects in this field.

The author of the best journalistic copyright work will be rewarded with a study trip to a European country, member of PRO EUROPE, where is successfully established the system of separate collection and recycling of packaging waste.

Conference speakers were: Mladen Rudež, Assistant to Minister of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Samra Jažić, Sales and Communications Associate from Ekopak Ltd, Senad Memić, the manager of PUC Komus from Gračanica Municipality which is already successfully implementing activities of the Green Dot system, and Halida Vuković, director of NGO Fondeko.
