At the initiative of Enisa Gogić, Director of the Public Utility Company Komunalac Kladanj, Ekopak provided bins for the separate collection of glass packaging waste, which were subsequently placed at several locations across the Municipality of Kladanj by Komunalac.

Since the local landfill is closed after the fire, municipal waste from Kladanj has been transported daily to the Eko-Sep Regional Landfill in Živinice. In order to reduce the quantities of municipal waste and the associated transport and disposal costs, Komunalac recognized the importance of the separate collection of packaging waste, with Ekopak providing support for the implementation of this initiative.

The installation of the bins enables disposal of glass packaging separately from other waste, creating the conditions for it to be directed to recycling instead of ending up in the landfill.

Ekopak would like to thank Director Enisa Gogić and the Public Utility Company Komunalac Kladanj for their initiative and cooperation. Ekopak remains committed to the development of the separate packaging waste collection system and municipal infrastructure in local communities, with the aim of directing increasing quantities of packaging waste to recycling while reducing the amount of waste disposed to landfills.
