The cooperation between the company Ekopak and the organization Save the Children continues during the second phase of the project "Schools as green zones - increasing readiness for climate change in the education sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina" with the aim of increasing children's participation in environmental protection projects.

The project will be implemented in the next 18 months through various educations, children's campaigns as well as donations of equipment related to waste recycling and air pollution in six primary and two secondary schools in the Sarajevo Canton.

"Save the Children, as an organization, for which climate change is a priority topic for the next period, continues to strengthen the capacities of children from primary and secondary schools in order to develop awareness of environmental protection and proper recycling as well as climate change and other factors that directly and indirectly affect environment and environmental protection. It is important to provide children with adequate education that would help them influence their environment in local community and become initiators of change" said Aleksandra Babić Golubović, the representative of the organization Save the Children for the Northwest Balkans, when signing the memorandum for cooperation with company Ekopak d.o.o. and added that the role of schools and parents is crucial in the upbringing of ecologically educated children, as well as that only ecologically aware generations will be the guarantor of a sustainable future.
