Within the regional project "Management of glass packaging in the Western Balkans", the Public Utility Company JKP "Vilenica-Čistoća" d.o.o. Novi Travnik received over 30 containers for glass packaging recycling with a total value of 27,270.00 KM.

German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), National Alliance for Local Economic Development "Naled" from Serbia, Association for Economic Development of Herzegovina REDAH and system operators "Sekopak" from Serbia, "Pakomak" from Northern Macedonia, "Ekopak" from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Association of Local Self-Government Units ZELS, launched a regional project "Management of glass packaging in the Western Balkans".

The project is being implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Northern Macedonia with the aim of increasing the amount of collected and recycled glass packaging with the installation of new containers. One of the goals of the project is to increase the rate of glass packaging collection by 20% in the pilot municipalities and three countries. These are Niš and Sombor in Serbia, Stip and Ilinden in Northern Macedonia, Bihać and Novi Travnik in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The City of Bihać and the Municipality of Novi Travnik were not chosen by chance. Ekopak has a long-term successful cooperation with Public Utility Companies Komrad Bihać and JKP "Vilenica-Čistoća" d.o.o. Novi Travnik, which collects and delivers not only glass packaging waste, but also plastic, paper and multilayer packaging to the Ekopak system.

The glass packaging management project is implemented within the development cooperation program with the private sector - develoPPP.de funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
