 Dear clients and partners of Ekopak,

Welcome to our newsletter – January 2014!

The beginning of 2014 was marked by summarizing the results achieved in 2013, as well as preparations for new projects.

We are proud to emphasize that the number of our clients, who confided in us and transferred their legal responsibilities onto us - producers, packers/fillers, importers, distributors and traders, has more than doubled compared to 2013. There was a significant increase in the amount of the packaging waste collected and sent off to recycling by our collectors, which resulted in meeting recycling target of 13%. 

All the data and reports are finalizing and preparing for the Annual report, which we will deliver to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and Environmental Fund within the defined deadline, by March 30th, which will m ark another successful year of operations.

At the beginning of January, we have completed the first part of the education project "Planet's Smile is in Your Hands" project which is currently being implemented in twenty two schools in Sarajevo. The results related to the collected amount of packaging waste in the competition segment is published on the homepage and facebook of Ekopak. The competition itself will continue until the end of school year, when we will announce the most successful school.  

We have organized educational workshops for children within the Sarajevo Holiday Market.

The NGO "Citizen Association Zenica" has acknowledged Ekopak for successful cooperation on the implementation of the „Tvrle the Ecologist“ project, and the play "Recycling is not a Hassle" which is the integral part of the aforementioned project has been shown on the Happy :))) Stage at Sarajevo Holiday Market.

Thriving work of Ekopak has been complimented by the Czech ambassador, Tomáš Szunyog, who commented on Ekopak's educational activities as a positive example of EU legislation implementation.
