As part of the "Management of Glass Packaging in the Western Balkans" project, Ekopak provided bins for collecting glass and plastic packaging waste to the two largest hotels in the Ilidža Municipality. The Hills and Hollywood hotels, which generate significant amounts of packaging waste due to their large number of guests and visitors throughout the year, have recognized the importance of recycling packaging waste and enthusiastically participated in our initiative.

On the other hand, KJKP Rad Sarajevo has also joined this initiative by providing containers for collecting glass and plastic packaging waste. With this gesture, the Hills and Hollywood hotels now have access to modern eco-islands for disposing of these two types of packaging waste.

This action represents a continuation of the implementation of the large regional project "Management of Glass Packaging in the Western Balkans," to which Ekopak joined in 2019, with the aim of improving the recycling and management of glass packaging in our country. As part of this project, Ekopak has funded the acquisition and installation of 50 special glass collection bins in the Ilidža Municipality.

Ekopak expressed satisfaction with this initiative and emphasized that this is just one of many steps that Ekopak plans to take to enhance the recycling system in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Initiatives like these are important for encouraging all citizens, including businesses such as Hollywood and Hills, to participate in packaging waste recycling and contribute to the development of the recycling system in our country", say representatives from Ekopak.
