Managing director of Ekopak, Amela Hrbat, was recently a guest on the popular TV show Agro-ekologika produced by the renowned company Team System and broadcast on BHRT.

This opportunity was used to discuss about recycling system, goals, achieved business results, investments in the development of the system and promoting circular economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as importance of education about recycling.

Being a guest on the Agro-Ecology show gave us also unique opportunity to present the achievements and goals of Ekopak to the public, but also to inform the public about the wider importance of packaging waste recycling in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the conversation, Director Hrbat emphasized on importance of the recycling system in preserving natural resources and reducing negative impact on the environment. She pointed out that Ekopak is committed to achieving high standards in the management of packaging waste and explained how an efficient system of collection, sorting and recycling of packaging waste is established.

Amela Hrbat also pointed out that education is a key component in raising public awareness of the importance of recycling and its role in sustainable development. In order to contribute to this goal, Ekopak conducted a series of educational campaigns and programs aimed at citizens and business, but focus stayed primarily on children. The goal is to empower people to actively participate in the recycling process and proper disposal of packaging waste.

Managing director of Ekopak also emphasized the importance of investing in the development of the recycling system. She explained how Ekopak has invested significant funds in modernization and expansion of recycling infrastructure, including investments in special vehicles, eco-tolls and improvement of transport capacities. These investments have resulted in improved efficiency and increased capacity for processing packaging waste.

At the end of the conversation, director Amela Hrbat expressed her satisfaction that Ekopak got the opportunity to be a guest on this show and that she could share information about the importance of recycling and the circular economy with the general public.
