In the Newsletter of Ekopak for the second half of 2017, we present  our most important activities in successful year, in which we realized a number of projects in local communities, but also achieved the prescribed targets for the recycling of packaging waste for all packaging materials.

 

The beginning of 2017 was marked by activities aimed at improving the System for disposal and recycling of packaging waste in municipalities where Ekopak successfully cooperates with public utility companies. We participated in the launching of the International Educational program "Young Eco Reporters". At various events, we animated the children, and within the educational project "Smile of the Planet is in Your Hands" we promoted the importance of packaging waste recycling.

 

Ekopak put a lot of effort to give contribution to the creation of a legal framework defining the Waste management in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On November 9 2017  at the session of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Amendments and Changes to the Law on Waste Management which is the umbrella law for the  Ordinance on Packaging and Packaging Waste management, so the existence of Packaging Recovery Organisations in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is now legally defined.

 

All of the results we have achieved are our best motive to continue with our legal, transparent, highest ethical standards, the lowest sustainable cost, and develop a System for Packaging waste recycling for the benefit of the entire community.
