NEWSLETTER FOR 1st AND 2nd QUARTER OF 2016.

Key activities that marked the first quarter of 2016 were markedn of the completion of another successful year and finalizing the Annual Report of the Ministry and the Fund for the year 2015.

We are pleased to inform you that in 2015 Ekopak handed over to the recycling and recovery  more than 8.0000 tons of all types of packaging waste, by which fulfilled general target of recycling and recovery of 25% and the specific targets for all packaging materials.

We have expanded the Green Dot system in 2015 to the following municipalities: Vogosca, Posusje, Kresevo, Kiseljak, Foca-Ustikolina, Travnik, Kakanj. Also we implemented educational activities in Sarajevo, Velika Kladusa, Breza, Vogosca, Vitez, Gracanica,Orasje, Kiseljak.

At the end of the first quarter of 2016, Ministry announced the Ordinance Repealing the Ordinance on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management , which determined our activities in the second quarter with aim to protect our business, our clients's  interests and the protection of the established system of packaging and packaging waste in the Federation BiH.

Besides focus on this „legal issue“ we also continued with the implementation of the planned activities in local community:

- Municipality Kakanj handed agreed infrastructure, which enables more than half the population of the municipality to participate in the recycling of packaging waste.

- The Municipality of Travnik handed agreed infrastructure for separate disposal of packaging waste, which will be set up in 10 locations,

- Municipality Ustikolina surrendered 12 waste-bins for selective disposal of packaging waste.

- Privided 20 underground waste-bins for selective disposal of packaging waste in the Canton of Sarajevo which will be placed at selected locations.

In parallel, we practiced and educational activities with the young people and kids from Kakanj, Kresevo, Zenica, Vogosca, Sarajevo, Kladanj and Posusje, marked significant environmental dates and worked on the promotion of system.

We got an important place in the book "Improving environmental standards and prosperity in Bosnia and Herzegovina" published after another successfull fair ZEPS in Zenica.
