NEWSLETTER FOR 4th QUARTER OF 2015.

Another challenging and successful year is behind the Ekopak. As pioneers in establishing a system of packaging and packaging waste management system in our country we are faced with all the challenges and difficulties , which are facing  all economic entities that conduct their business in a transparent and legal manner and to a high standards. We have exceeded successfully all the challenges, coming out of them with richer experiences and even more committed to the implementation of the targets for which we were founded almost five years ago. The results that we have achieved so far demonstrates that we are on the right way to realize those objectivities:

- We have introduced more than 500 business entities in the system of packaging waste management 

- In their behalf, through the network of collectors in our system, we have collected and delivered to recycling nearly 30,000 tons of packaging waste, that is a big composition of 1,500 cargo-trucks, of which was a significant part exported to countries of the region and even further, because of the lack of recycling capacity in our country. 

- In the 16 municipalities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo Canton we launched setting up of  the system for separate collection of post consumer packaging waste its preparation for recycling. We have good results from the market, and with utility companies and private collectors  we are constantly working to become better. 

- More than 45,000 citizens, mostly children of preschool and school age passed so far through our various educational projects which were realized throughout the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that are aimed at raising awareness about the importance of separate collection and recycling of packaging waste.

- Finally, we have the recognition of the highest institutions of Europe in the segment of packaging waste for all our work  because we have become, by fulfilling the strict criteria, members of PRO EUROPE and EXPRA, umbrella packaging organizations headquartered in Brussels where we represent Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the operator that implements the local legislation in accordance with EU Directive 94/62. 

All this has been possible thanks to the cooperation with all of you and the support that we have had from you. Our plans for this year are significant and we are already making the first steps in their realization.
