In May Ekopak actively participated in different projects and activities.

This month municipality Kreševo enters the Green Dot system. With the realization of the project eco-islands will cover more than half of the population of the municipality, and the project envisages the education of citizens about the proper disposal of packaging waste.

The "Green Dot" certification was held on 14th May in Sarajevo. In this way, all system participants that have transferred responsibilities on Ekopak gain added value of the legal use of international Green Dot trademark. Representatives of Ekopak visited clients in Herzegovina and personally handed the "Green Dot" certificate. In the coming period, certificates will be handed over to all companies (manufacturers, importers and end suppliers) involved in the Ekopaks system that also place the products marked with "Green Dot" on the market.

Primary schools from Vogošća took part in the action "Clean Vogošća" which lasted a month. Primary school pupils showed great interest and collected a significant amount of packaging waste that was later handed over for the recycling and Ekopak recognized and rewarded their efforts.

The play "Recycling is No Hassle” was shown on 28th May for elementary schools in Vitez. The main character of the play is the mascot "Tvrle Ecologist" who explains children how to properly deal with packaging waste. The goal is to educate the youngest on proper disposal and recycling of packaging waste.

4th Sarajevo Beer Festival is held this year in the spirit of a responsible attitude towards the environment and Ekopak provided all visitors to actively participate in proper disposal of packaging waste. The colored containers were placed in front of the tents of socially responsible companies Carlsberg and Banja Luka Brewery. During the three days of this year's Beer Festival, Ekopak in cooperation with the Papir Servis collected more than 2 tons of packaging waste that is handed over for recycling.
