Dear clients and partners of Ekopak,

Welcome to our newsletter for February 2014!

The activity that marked this month in Ekopak is contract signing on establishment and development of the postconsumer packaging waste collecting system in the Kladanj Municipality.

By the contract, Ekopak has committed to, along with the Government of Japan, participate in co-financing in procurement of two vehicles for waste transport and to finance procurement of the necessary infrastructure for establishing a system of separate packaging waste disposal and its preparation for recycling.

Along with this, supported by the Municipality and Komunalac, Ekopak is going to implement educational project “Planet’s Smile is in Your Hands”. On this occasion, young activists from the Eco-association from the municipality visited Ekopak and got introduced to the project through the educational presentation on teaching children about the importance of separate packaging waste disposal and recycling.

In the Sarajevo Canton, within the „Planet's Smile is in Your Hands“ project, the planned educational workshops have been carried through and the participants are in the process of testing. Mid March, the competitive quiz will be organized in which the students of the eighteen schools will show what they have learnt about the separate packaging waste disposal and its recycling. Ekopak has prepared attractive prizes for the best ones. 

In February, at the first „Kids Kinđurijada“ event we had fun with the youngest visitors. In the Ekopak corner, Eco-activists from the NGO Ekotim and fashion product designers helped the children design and create interesting masks and costumes from the Ekopak client's packaging, and the most creative authors received interesting prizes.
