Ekopak Newsletter December 2013

Dear clients and associates of Ekopak,

Welcome to our Newsletter - December 2013!

The end of 2013 was marked with many significant events and activities in Ekopak

  • We officially signed a contract with PRO EUROPE, the umbrella organisation for European packaging and packaging waste recovery and recycling schemes, based in Brussels, by which we became authorized licencor of the “Green Dot” trademark for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • We have signed a contract with the Orašje Municipality mayor, Mr. Đuro Topić, and the general manager of the public utility service, Mr. Ahmet Nurispahić, in order to establish separate packaging waste collecting in the municipality. We are also negotiating in the Kladanj Municipality, and we expect to initiate the project there soon.
  • Ekopak is present at the largest winter event in Sarajevo – Holiday Market, where we have:
  • organized open-to-public educational workshops of the “Planet’s Smile is in Your Hands Project” every Friday.
  • organized the “Recycling is not a Hassle” play and the “Tvrle the Ecologist” magazine distribution
  • set Eco-islands so that all visitors can dispose packaging waste separately, which is going to be handed out for recycling.
  • We have given Eco-frame to the big 30th anniversary “Zabranjeno pušenje” concerts in Sarajevo and Tuzla. The luckiest fans were exchanged tickets for PET bottles, and during the concerts, we have organized packaging waste collecting in the halls.

Another difficult and challenging year is successfully summed up and we are preparing our annual report on meeting the recycling targets of 13%. More on this topic will be published in one of the next Newsletters.

We wish you healthy and prosperous New 2014, both in business and personal life.

You can read more about our activities below.

Sincerely Yours,

Ekopak Team.
