In accordance with Article 21 of the Rulebook on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management, Ekopak submitted its "Annual Report on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management in 2022" to the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of March.

In 2022, Ekopak sent more than 15,000 tons of packaging waste for recycling through its network of public collectors, which fulfilled the annual goal.

1,900 tons of glass, 2,459 tons of metal, 84,404 tons of paper, 15,186 tons of plastic, 4,389 tons of wooden packaging, 1,996 tons of multi-layer packaging were sent for recycling...

It should be noted that since the beginning of its work in 2012, Ekopak has sent for recycling close to 120,000 tons of packaging waste, for the transportation of which about 7,000 trucks were needed.

"The results and achieved goals for 2022, which we presented in our Annual Report, once again confirmed our success. I must point out that the results were achieved thanks to the support of our business partners, over 900 clients who transferred their legal obligations to us and our valuable collectors from all 10 cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina'', said Ekopak managing director Amela Hrbat, adding that at the beginning of last year Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism extended Ekopak's license as waste management system operator for the next five years, which is another important recognition for successful business.
