In June, Ekopak organized promotions of the "Green Dot"  in Mercator shopping centers located in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Brčko and Mostar. We educated public about the importance and meaning of this sign, which communicates the social responsibility of companies that use it in the segment of packaging waste recycling and environmental protection in general.

In the period of promotion, customers were able to find out what a Green Dot is, what it represents and why they should pay attention to whether the packaging of the products they buy has the Green Dot sign on the label. Also, valuable gifts were organized for customers who bought three or more products marked with a green dot sign.

On this occasion, Ekopak thanks the brands, users of the Green Dot label, who supported this project: Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Schweppes, Ledo, Colgate, Palmolive, Nova Vita and Ajax.

As a reminder, the owner of the "Green Dot" sign is the German company Duales System Deutschland AG. (D.S.D.), which left the management and coordination of the use of this mark outside the German market to the umbrella European organization PRO-EUROPE based in Brussels. PRO-EUROPE gives the rights to use the "Green Dot" sign to its members around the world and since 2013 Ekopak is a member of PRO EUROPE and the exclusive provider of the right to use the "Green Dot" on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The following facts speak about the importance of the "Green Dot":

• More than 170,000 companies mark their products with the "Green Dots" sign.
