According to the Ordinance of Packaging and Packaging Waste Management the specific goals for recycling came into force this year. This means that Ekopak has challenging task to provide collection and recycling of all types of packaging materials: plastic, paper, metal, glass, wood and packaging which contains and is/or contaminated with potentially dangerous substances, with the lack of infrastructure.

Thanks to our network of collectors from all over the Federation, the activities on the field are performed as planned. Projects of separate packaging waste collection are successfully implemented in Gračanica, Bihać, Orašje, Kladanj, Ključ, Dolac on Lašva, Tešanj, Cazin, Široki Brijeg, Sarajevo, Posušje, Breza and throughout the entire Federation BiH.

Buliding up the recycling yard is currently implemented in the municipality Donji Vakuf and collaboration will be extended by procurement of infrastructure for eco - islands. Also, the Bihać Municipality extends the initial collaboration - which was established for purchasing the vehicle, to a new contract on procurement of infrastructure for 31 eco - island.

The delivery of infrastructure for 15 eco-islands and vehicle for packaging waste collection will be soon implemented in the Ključ Municipality.

Also, the Municipality Olovo signed the contract for construction of the recycling yard and 5 eco - islands.

The employees of Ekopak are on the field, where the activities are monitored, supervised and arranged with the public utility companies and other collectors.
